Glamorous Event Introduces Glamorous Renovations

They had a lot to celebrate and did so in a very big way. A gorgeous, chic, fabulous big way.

As Foulk Living senior living community in Wilmington formally celebrated the culmination of its renovation project, they did so with elegance and flare, reflecting the enhanced vibe and energy of the newly renovated building.

Over the past two years, Foulk Living has upgraded shared spaces, including the lobby, corridors, dining room, four seasons room, fitness center, and more.

The community is now spectacular, and the residents and staff were excited to hold the celebratory open house last week to introduce the transformation to prospective residents. This was followed by the event for professional referral partners.

The creative and dedicated team worked collaboratively observed Nana Soto, the Marketing and Sales Director. “Everyone used their energy, and we were all totally in sync designing our renovation celebration. Chef Renee, known for her innovative style, and Herlinda DePaz, the Activities Director, who is known for her talent in event planning and decorating, took an idea and ran with it,” Nana said.

“We wanted to do something elegant and unique,” said Herlinda. “Chef Renee and I wanted to do something no one has ever done here at Foulk Living or in the surrounding area. We decided on something more formal to match the new renovations. We created our own red carpet-like event.”

They chose to feature mannequins, ‘dressed’ in tuxedos, and vibrantly colored satin ‘gowns’ that Herlinda created. “People told me the gowns were stunningly elegant,” she said. The mannequins were stationed around the community, holding trays of champagne, cruditès, smoked oysters and caviar for the guests.

Foulk Living resident ambassadors, dressed to the nines, helped the team greet the visitors and talk to them about the community’s vibrant lifestyle.

“People said the event was something out of a magazine,” said Herlinda.

“It was beautiful and alive, and there was a great energy since the first person walked through the doors,” said Nana. “We’re eager to welcome more people to see our beautiful community.”
