They enjoyed music, leis, grass skirts, Hawaiian food, dance, and friendship.

Residents, their family members, and staff of Foulk Living senior living community in Wilmington celebrated all things Hawaiian at their luau party last week. The event was planned as a fun way for everyone to “socialize, let loose, and dance,” said Leslie Johnson, Executive Director.

Chef Renee Eaton created delectable tropical treats, and Herlinda De Paz, Foulk Living’s, Life Enrichment Director known for her creative flare and party planning, decorated for the event. DJ Raymond Chapman kept the music flowing.

“Everyone loved it and got some great exercise by dancing. We’ll do this again soon,” said Johnson. “In the meantime, we have lots of activities and celebrations that keep the residents smiling.”
